Mail-Order Brides of the Southwest is a historical western romance series by Heidi Vanlandingham. Each book follows a woman who answers an advertisement because she needs a fresh start, and a man who needs a wife for reasons of his own. The stories move through Tennessee, Oklahoma, Colorado, Arizona, and Utah, and many of the marriages begin as arrangements of convenience that become something harder to walk away from. The books stand alone, and the prequel, Lucie: Bride of Tennessee, is a good place to begin.
